The plant grows as a vigorous, arching shrub with distinctive whitish, powdery canes and attractive compound leaves. Throughout the warm season, it produces abundant clusters of delicate pinkish flowers followed by delicious berries that ripen from red to a glossy, deep dark purple-black.
