Bring award-winning flavor to your garden with our live Parfianka Pomegranate tree (Punica granatum ‘Parfianka’). Hailing originally from Turkmenistan, ‘Parfianka’ consistently tops taste tests at botanical gardens and agricultural research stations for its exceptional flavor profile, striking beauty, and ease of growing.

The fruit features a brilliant red outer rind enclosing large, ruby-red arils filled with intensely sweet juice balanced by a refreshing hint of acidity. Unlike older varieties, Parfianka’s seeds are exceptionally soft and tender, making them a delight to eat fresh out of hand or pressed into gourmet juices. Beyond the harvest, the tree offers glossy foliage, attractive peeling bark, and brilliant orange-red trumpet flowers that bloom all summer long. Well-established in 1-gallon nursery containers with strong root systems, our young trees are ready to thrive in your garden or a large patio container.

Features

– World-class flavor: Consistently rated among the best-tasting pomegranates with a perfect sweet-to-tart balance.
– Soft, edible seeds: Tender seeds that make fresh snacking smooth and enjoyable.
– Container size: 1 Gallon.
– Ornamental & productive: Showy red summer blooms, attractive foliage, and heavy yields of large fruit.

How to Care & Grow

1. Sunlight: Plant in full sun (at least 6 to 8 hours of direct daily sunlight) for optimal flowering, fruit set, and sugar accumulation.
2. Soil & Planting: Thrives in average, well-draining garden soil. Highly adaptable to various soil types (clay, loam, or sand) as long as drainage is good.
3. Watering: Water deeply when newly planted to establish roots. Once established, pomegranates are quite drought-tolerant, though regular watering during fruit development yields the juiciest fruits.
4. Climate & Hardiness: Highly adaptable and cold-hardy down to USDA Zones 8–11. Performs exceptionally well in hot, dry interior climates as well as coastal regions.
